Greyhounds are tall and slender dogs. The Greyhound is a loving, brave, intelligent, and charming dog, but is often undervalued due to their reserved behavior towards strangers and even their owners. They are sensitive to the tone of their owners voice, however, they will not listen if they believe that they are stronger minded than their owner. Owners of Greyhounds need to possess a natural air of authority and keep calm. They are extremely fast reaching speeds up to 40mph, and they love chasing animals’ especially quick ones.
If you want to keep your Greyhound happy, they love to run, If you can provide them with a big back yard, that’s ideal. If not, take them on lots of walks and runs. Regular exercise routines would be great for these dogs as they love routines. Greyhounds are prone to bloating so it is better to feed them 2-3 small meals a day rather than one large meal.
Greyhounds tend to live 10-12 years. They have smooth short hair which is easy to groom, simply comb and brush with a firm bristle brush and dry shampoo when necessary.
